Philosophy, Religion and Ethics

The P.R.E department, offers a variety of examined and non-examined ways for students to consider philosophical, religious and ethical perspectives. In years 7-9, we follow our own syllabus developed in line with the National Framework for Religious Education. We study a number of religious, secular and spiritual views in relation to some of life’s big ‘philosophical’ questions.

Years 10 and 11

In Years 10 and 11 students will continue to follow the AQA Short course begun in Year 9 as part of the PSHE programme. They will consider ethical arguments surrounding; medical ethics, war and peace and family and relationships.
