    Welcome to the subject pages for Alcester Grammar School, where you will find information on the broad and balanced curriculum on offer to all students.  We are committed to exciting, engaging and relevant learning in all areas, and structure  option subjects to ensure that student choice is paramount.

    In Years 7-9 we offer an exciting range of opportunities where all students study Religious Education, English Language and Literature,  History, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Art, Music, Drama, Design Technology, Food Technology, Computing/ICT, Physical Education and Games and PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) including citizenship, and 2 languages  from French, German & Spanish.

    In Years 10-11 core subjects studied at GCSE are: English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science (for science GCSE the vast majority of students take three separate sciences), and either French, German or Spanish.  Students choose three further subjects from: Art, Geography, History, Drama, Music, Design Technology, Food Technology, Business Studies, Computer Science, and a second foreign language. Students have the option to additionally take a short course GCSE in RE. Students also participate in a PE and PSHE programme. This includes a rotation of RE, PSHE, Lifestyle Education and Citizenship. Work related Learning is delivered across the curriculum and includes a number of activity days throughout the year, including a week of Work Experience at the end of Year 10. Computing/ICT skills are developed and utilised across the curriculum.  Do contact me by email if you require any further information about the curriculum we offer at AGS.
