Sixth Form Independent Study Supervisor

(with either additional general administrative or sports coaching responsibilities)

Start Date: January 2023| subject to references and DBS clearance
Reports to: Principal and two Vice Principals
Salary: NJC Band C: spinal point 5

This is a part-time and term time only position.

Working pattern: 30 hours per week | 6 hours per day, plus a 30 minute unpaid lunch break       

Term Time only (38 weeks per year) | 43.7 paid weeks per year

Pay and Conditions: Salary: NJC Grade C: spinal point 5                                                                                        Annual pro-rated salary of £14,660.74, plus Local Government Pension Scheme, and based on the current full time equivalent starting salary of £21,575 per annum.

Hours: 6 hours per day| Monday to Friday 9:15am to 3:45pm

We are seeking to appoint a Sixth Form Independent Study Supervisor to manage the silent study for our Sixth Form students.  

Duties will include administering student attendance registers, maintaining high standards of student conduct within the study area, creating a supportive study environment, and assisting the students with resources, if necessary.  You will also undertake administrative tasks associated with the role.

The post holder will also assist with general administrative tasks, as required by the Principal and/or provide support with Sports Coaching, dependent on the skills and desires of the candidate.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate how to assert authority in a positive manner in order to secure the respect of sixth form students, whilst maintaining a quiet study area.  The post holder must be reliable, motivated, highly organised, and able to plan and prioritise their workload using their own initiative, as well as being able to work as part of a team.  

Desirable attributes would include having previous experience of working with young people in an educational environment, and experience of preparing young people for advanced and higher-level education.

Food & Nutrition Technician

Pay and Conditions: Salary: NJC Grade B: spinal point 3                                                                                   

Annual pro-rated salary of £3,064.16 plus Local Government Pension Scheme, and based on the current full time equivalent starting salary of £20,812 per annum.

Hours: 6.5 hours per week | Friday 9am to 4pm (there may be some flexibility around the start and finish times for the right candidate)

We are seeking to appoint a Food & Nutrition Technician to join our well established FT department.  

Duties will include the preparation of the teaching areas for practical activities and demonstrations, maintaining equipment, managing food storage and supplies, and supporting teachers in practical lessons. There will also be administrative tasks to carry out, to ensure the smooth running of the department, which may include the ordering or purchasing of ingredients, printing and photocopying.

Applicants must be reliable, motivated, able to plan and prioritise their workload using their own initiative, as well as being able to work as part of a team.

Part-time Cleaning Assistant (AM & PM shifts)

Start Date: ASAP | subject to references and DBS clearance
Reports to: Cleaning Supervisor
Salary: NJC Band A: spinal point 01

This is a permanent, part-time and term time + 1 week position (last week of the summer holidays). 

Working pattern of Term Time only (39 weeks per year) | 44.8 paid weeks per year. 

Pay and Conditions: Salary: NJC Grade A: spinal point 01 | Currently £10.50 per hour, based on the full time equivalent £20,258 per annum, plus local government pension scheme.

Hours: AM shift - 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 5:30am to 8:30am (3 hours per day)                                            PM shift - 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 3:45pm to 6:45pm (3 hours per day)                                            AM & PM shifts - 30 hours per week, Mon to Fri; 5:30am to 8:30am & 3:45pm to 6:45pm (6 hrs)         

Working pattern: 39 weeks per year | Term time (38 weeks) plus 5 days (to be worked during the last 5 days of the school summer holidays) | 44.5 paid weeks per year

AM or PM only shift = 15 hours per week and equates to an annual prorated salary of £7,056.15                         

AM and PM shift = 30 hours per week and equates to an annual prorated salary of £14,112.31

We require a number of cleaners to join our established cleaning team.  We have morning or afternoon shifts of 15 hours per week available, as well as a morning and afternoon position, which equates to a total of 30 hours per week.  All roles are term time only + 1 week per academic year, to be worked at the end of the school's summer holiday.  Applicants must be reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a team.

Previous experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be given.
