Current vacancies 

Cleaning Assistant

Start Date: 1 st November 2021, subject to references and DBS clearance.

Hours required: Monday to Friday,  5.5 hours per day, totalling 27.5 hours per week.

Working pattern: 4.15am to 10.15am daily, with a 30-minute unpaid break 8.30am to 9am

Working weeks: 40 weeks a year, term time (38 weeks) plus 10 days in school holidays (last 5 days of the school
summer holidays plus 5 other days.

Salary: NJC Band A, spinal point 01, £11,596.94 per annum (currently £9.25 per hour), plus holiday pay & local government pension scheme.

Applicants must be reliable, motivated and able to work as part of our established cleaning team.

Closing date is 9am on Thursday 30th September 2021. 

Interviews will be held on Thursday 7th October 2021.

Part Time Catering Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Reports to: Catering Manager

Salary: NJC Band A, spinal point 01, £9.25 per hour, plus holiday pay; local government pension scheme.
Actual salary for 27.5 hours per week, based on a full-time salary of £17,842 p.a., is £11,012 p.a.

Hours: 27.5 hours per week, part-time, term time only
Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 2.30pm

Duties will include assistance in all aspects of the daily running of the busy catering department, including food
preparation and serving students. Experience would be an advantage but is not essential, training will be provided.

Closing Date: 9am on Wednesday 6th October 2021.

Interviews will take place on Monday 11th October 2021, from 9am. You will be with us for the whole morning.

Part Time Teacher of Art

We are looking for a part-time teacher of Art (approximately 0.60 Full Time Equivalent - currently Tuesday,
Wednesday full days &; Monday/Friday morning half days) to join us from January 2022. Applicants should be
dynamic, experienced and well-organised practitioners with a genuine passion for art education, who will deliver
excellent teaching and learning. Candidates should be able to demonstrate creative energy and vision, and applications are welcome from NQTs and experienced teachers alike. The position will involve teaching across the full 11-18 age range. 

The Art Department has well-established programmes of study across all year groups and the successful applicant will be very well supported throughout their time here. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an outstanding creative environment with innovative and experienced colleagues and keen, well- motivated students. 

Arts subjects at Alcester Grammar School are considered to be vital within the broad and balanced curriculum offered and provide key opportunities to develop creative ways of thinking and expressing ideas. The Art Department thrives within the school, benefitting from experienced and committed teachers and well-resourced studios. 

This is initially a temporary two-term appointment from January 2022 for the remainder of this academic year.  In 2022, we plan to advertise for a permanent part-time art teacher for September 2022 (to which the appointed candidate will be welcome to apply).
