After a tempestuous few years in the world of theatre and performance, I was so pleased to be able to see students in live performance and our Year 11s this year were the perfect group to stage this fantastic comeback. Performing an eclectic mix of group pieces, monologues and duologues, they performed pieces from across a wide range of styles and genres.
From modern tragedies such as Simon Stone’s Punk Rock through to the more traditional comical texts such as Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter, there was truly something for everyone. Congratulations to you all and thank you for your years of hard work and dedication to Drama. You will be very much missed, unless you very wisely come back for A Level and then there will just be two more years of fun. I hope to see you there!
